Binary package hint: sqlite3

Using Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10

removing...
libsqlite3-0 3.4.2-1build1

Within the Synaptic Package Manager, if I mark "libsqlite3-0" for removal a window pops up showing the "Additional Required Removals." These removals include all of gnome, python, evolution, vino, yelp, gedit, gimp, and many many more unrelated packages.

This "bug" is by design - a great many source packages use sqlite3 in some fashion:

$ sudo apt-get -s remove libsqlite3-0|grep ^Remv|wc -l
