Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Using the latest Hardy pre-release, updated 2-27-08. Laptop is a Sager NP2092. The power manager does not update it's status unless I plugin or unplug the AC adapter from the machine. Then it updates to the correct state as of that moment, but does not update again until I change the power state again. The output of "cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/*" is:

alarm: unsupported
present: yes
design capacity: 7200 mAh
last full capacity: 7200 mAh
battery technology: rechargeable
design voltage: 11100 mV
design capacity warning: 420 mAh
design capacity low: 156 mAh
capacity granularity 1: 264 mAh
capacity granularity 2: 3780 mAh
model number: PA3465U
serial number: 3658Q
battery type: Li-Ion
OEM info: COMPAL
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: charging
present rate: 0 mA
remaining capacity: 3672 mAh
present voltage: 11100 mV

Note the "present rate" line shows 0 mA. I suspect this is the root of the problem. How else can I help correct this?
