I installed kubuntu-desktop beside ubuntu-desktop and I don't see any screen errors on kubuntu. I changed gdm to kdm, but it doen't help with gnome screen errors and slow screen refresh. It's bad that I don't have wireless network running after kubuntu installation.

No screen errors after installing alpha 5 from cd. I think errors occurs it when I tried to install fglrx and I recovered it by recovery boot. Fglrx didn't work then. Now I'll test it.

I installed fglrx by System-Adminstration-Hardware Drivers. After the booting I got black screen. When I booted by recovery mode and I selected try to fix X Server all was gone without errors. But when I selected: resume normal boot I got white desktop without any items. When I booted second time by normal way I had desktop and errors are back. While lines and slow refreshing. Now I know how can I get error.

You can mark this bug as invalid. I got instructions from #ubuntu to disable compiz.real what was automatically enabled when I tried to install fglrx. After this errors were gone.

Only one error is still on my ubuntu desktop. If I install something and I'm watching box what shows how much is installed from packages I see this box same color as background, gray. It's normally brown, same as in booting splash.
