Bug Description

Binary package hint: faac

After the faad2 upgrade, libmp4v2 has been removed. Now libfaac-dev fails to install, and therefore all builds depending on it are currently broken.

One should either re-enable libmp4v2 support in faad2, or upload mpeg4ip to Ubuntu (bug #172683).

FWIW, the debian-multimedia.org repo has mpeg4ip, libmpeg4ip & related packages...

Yes, I know. jdong has been working on getting mpeg4ip into Ubuntu, but I haven't heard any news on that for a while.
