Bug Description

Greetings,

This is a request to import inspircd from Debian unstable. As we know, Ubuntu is presently in an import freeze, but I feel that inspircd is a worthwhile package to have in hardy.

InspIRCd provides a more modern alternative to the other IRC daemons available in Ubuntu. Many smaller networks wish to use the advanced configurability and featureset available in this daemon.

The Debian changelog for the source package 'inspircd' is:

inspircd (1.1.15+dfsg-1) unstable; urgency=low

  [ Mario Iseli ]
  * Initial release (Closes: #429317)

  [ William Pitcock ]
  * Prepare for uploading to unstable since Mario is on
    vacation until 2008.

  [ Darren Blaber ]
  * Repackaged upstream tarball without non-free components (rfcs were removed)

Adding myself to CC.

I'm one of the developers of InspIRCd, as well as an Ubuntu user, so I have an interest in this. :)
