Bug Description

xfce4-terminal has a feature allowing user to change tab name. Terminal freezes when user tries to change tab title.

To reproduce issue, open a new tab in xfce4-terminal then right click on it and choose "Set title". Once dialog is opened, terminal freezes, whatever user does (change title or close dialog). No element on user interface is clickable anymore, even the close button. The only way to close terminal is to xkill it.

Additionally, it seems that after some time (about 5 minutes) the entire xfce4-terminal process is killed. So if you have other terminal windows open and functional beside the frozen one they all suddenly disappear.

This is caused by a bug in GTK+ and it has been fixed in at least version 3.20.8 of GTK+.

Wow, this has been fixed in GTK 2.5 years ago. Why is Linux Mint using an ancient version of GTK?
