Machine Type = Supermicro P8DNU
 ---Debugger---
A debugger was configured, however the system did not enter into the debugger

---Steps to Reproduce---
On ubuntu (zesty), the NVMe adapter hotplug functionality is broken. After check, there are 3 more patches needed.

There are 3 upstream patches needed by ubuntu.zesty are:
[1] https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=d7d55536c6cd1f80295b6d7483ad0587b148bde4
....... which reads "drivers/pci/hotplug: Handle presence detection change properly"
[2] https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=d0c424971f70501ec0a0364117b9934db039c9cc
....... which reads "drivers/pci/hotplug: Fix initial state for empty slot"
[3] https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=454593e54cac126a0f49d4b65f90a5e518c51404
....... which reads "drivers/pci/hotplug: Mask PDC interrupt if required"

This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-zesty' to 'verification-done-zesty'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-zesty' to 'verification-failed-zesty'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

Willie Liauw <email address hidden> verified the related NVMe hotplug driver by building & installing the latest tagged kernel from zesty git (tag 4.10.0-21.23, git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-zesty.git)

So, changing the tag to verification-done-zesty..

Thanks!
