Description: Ubuntu 11.04
Release: 11.04

2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-writer

     1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages

3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Writer via the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/161876/+attachment/170023/+files/ET4_Publista2007.rtf && lowriter -nologo ET4_Publista2007.rtf

go to 11. On calculating intensity from XPS and remove italics. File -> Save -> Keep Current Format button -> File -> Exit -> reopen via the Terminal:

lowriter -nologo ET4_Publista2007.rtf

and the text has italics removed.

4) What happens instead is the text has italics.

WORKAROUND: Use AbiWord.

I can only import to MS word, and make a screenshot; if you have difficulties
to do the same; I'll send a shot.

Otherwise, at those areas of the file I needed to change the italics attribute
of the text (part from off to on, part from on to off). The effect is
that *apparently*
the attribute changes correctly, but after saving and reloading, the *original*
states comes back. Interesting that in some cases also the underline
attribute is activated upon reload.
Even more strange, that Abi Word makes also an incorrect visualization
at those places: but the text at that places is invisible.

Please let me know if I can do something for you
(more info or some test files)

Regards

Janos Vegh

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.
