Bug Description

In KDE, when right-clicking on the clock in the panel, then choosing 'Adjust Date/Time', it asks for root password. Given the correct root password, the 'ask for root password' dialog disappears and nothing happens.

When going to K-menu -> System Settings -> Date & Time, the date & time dialog comes up with everything greyed out. It requires Administrator Mode to change anything. Clicking on Administrator Mode, displays a red border around the dialog for about 1 second, then the red border vanishes and nothing has happened (we stay in user mode).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Whatever. This was Gutsy. We are now at Hardy. Close the bug. It's never
been fixed for gutsy, but who cares ? Let bygones be bygones.
