Just to add to this...

It looks like whoever is setting up the sidebar navigation is using an absolute pixel address rather than relative to the divs that make up the contentl and contentr divs. I'm no CSS expert, but it seems that this makes the content act like a float which means that it doesn't make the contentl and contentr divs auto-expand to fit that content.

...just an observation.
