Bug Description

Binary package hint: opera

Hi, i'm using opera 9.5 alpha for AMD64 and when it loads a flash page it crashes. Flash is provided by the flashplugin-nonfree package. I'm using gutsy gibbon with all updates applied, upgraded from Feisty.

Let me know what i can do to help you solve this issue.

Regards,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I'm having a similar problem as well.

Opera 9.5 64bit /w flash-nonfree
Ubuntu Hardy 64

The flash plays fine; however, if I close opera while a flash is playing, opera grabs 100% of one of the cores and freezes.

nevermind. fixed it by this:

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree lib32nss-mdns

flashplugin-nonfree on 64-bit now depends on ia32-libs.
