Bug Description

Ubuntu 7.10

Whilst streaming rm file with realplayer 10 it is impossible to have sound in flash movies on firefox.

Do the following:

1) start streaming rm file such as: http://mfile.akamai.com/7870/rm/mitstorage.download.akamai.com/7870/8/8.01/f99/videolectures/wl99lec1-300k.rm
by launching realplayer 10 from firefox. Pause the video.

2) With firefox go to a flash movie such as: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODQ4WiDsEBQ

The movie has no sound!

Does this still occur when you install alsa-oss, and run firefox with 'aoss firefox'?

this is a bug in realplayer + flash

we won't be able to address this on our own, but have to wait for the rm + flash developers to use a proper way for playing sound.
