gnash fails install said installed

Bug Description

Synaptic was running then in Firefox 2.0.0.6 I clicked on the install missing plugins and selected Gnash flash player. It said couldn't install because another synaptic was running then the next screen it said Gnash flash player was installed.

I can confirm this. If the install fails for either Gnash or the Adobe flash player, the plugin install feature in Firefox thinks it is installed. This poses a problem since you can no longer install via the browser. You first have to resolve the failed install before you are again presented with the option in firefox.

this was probably a gnash bug, which had issues setting up the alernatives properly. It should be fixed by now.
