Bug Description

$ nautilus --version
Gnome nautilus 2.10.0

Ubuntu Hoary Preview Release

With the ubuntu spatial nautilus mods, it is still possible to make it act like
old nautilus and get 2 windows open when you use the backspace key

Reproduceable: Always

Steps to reproduce:
-Open a folder
-Hit backspace

Expected results:
Current window closes and parent directory is opened, like when you use the
menu in bottom left of the file browser

Actual results
parent directory opens in a new window, and the current window stays open as well

This old bug targets Dapper. It seems likely that it is no longer a serious issue now that this mode is not the default?

Matt, that's an easy to fix probably I've used the milestone as a "would be nice to look before dapper", let me know if that's the a right use of the milestone

I can still reproduce it in 7.04. Unset /apps/nautilus/preferences/no_ubuntu_spatial and press backspace in a directory. 2 windows are now showing (should only be 1). As comment 6 mentions though, this is no longer the default behaviour (I think?)

I could not reproduce it (changed value via gconf-editor and killed nautilus). Seems to be fixed in:

nautilus 2.18.1-0ubuntu1

-> rejected (since it never was confirmed and there exists no dedicated patch)

If the bug should still be present under certain circumstances, please reopen this issue and report further information.
