Black screen after X minutes

Bug Description

I have installed Ubuntu Hoary Preview on a laptop Sony Vaio, and as I was living
the room, I folded back the screen and when I came back (about 4.5 hours after),
I re-opened the screen and it was black : moving the mouse or typing something
on the keyboard didn't change anything. Pressing the Power button (not several
seconds as when I want to force the shutting down) didn't do anything.

I had the screen saver deactivated but in 'Gestion de l'alimentation de l'écran'
(french) the box was checked and the 3 fields set to '3' minutes.

Does the keyboard work? (Such as, does caps lock or num lock light up the
correct lights on the keyboard?)

Can you retry with either a breezy install or a breezy live cd?
