Want Preferred Name back

I can't second this request enough (why was it taken out in the first place?). Each year I have students who want to be called by their middle name or some variation of their first name. I need to store their official name in the system for use with official communication, but I would like to use their preferred name in all "within the classroom" contexts.

Hi Jeff,

We need to add several attributes back to students by default. I
don't want to add them one at a time as we think of them because that
will make demographics even more of a hairball than it already is, so
we have to spend a couple days on it sometime soon to make the changes
that will be in the final release. Right now, Ignas has SchoolTool up
on blocks and has to focus on a very complex sequence of tasks to make
years and terms actually work.

We'll get to it.
