Bug Description

In hoary, 2.6.10-4 kernel panicks when gam_server starts, so after a successfull
login, the computer will hardlock. Booting to 2.6.10-3 fixes the issue. The
package needs to be retracted, or replaced, because it seems that everyone that
uses this kernel has this problem.

I got infinite stream of "gamin_server/scheduling while atomic" messages when I
tried to shutdown my box. This may be related. I think this is new in 2.6.10-4.

Appears that booting kernel with "noinotify" option fixes the issue.

I saw there are new releases upstream: gamin 0.0.24 and inotify 0.19. I didn't
test to see if it helps, however.

This problem also seen on a HP compaq nc6000 laptop updated to the latest
pure-ubuntu packages.

The latest kernel 2.6.10-24 resloves this issues. Lowering severity.

of course, it only "resolves" the issue by disabling inotify.... the bug is
still there if you enable inotify.
