Bounty pages are still visible

Bug Description

Bounty pages, such as <https://launchpad.net/bounties/all-linux-for-humans>, are still visible -- and attracting comments -- more than a year after the bounty tracker was hidden from the rest of Launchpad. No good can come from this.

Either the bounty tracker should be removed properly, or at least the bounty pages should be closed off in the same way calendar pages are.

See also bug 91201.

at a minimum, these pages should tell robots not to index them. I suspect people would be getting to that page via google.

Approved by MS to remove the URL but not the code behind it. We'll want to reimplement bounties again at a later date.

mpt, is it possible for you to do this particular bug in 1.1.10? It's a bit late in the cycle I know. I've gotten another request from Kiko and Steve to remove the visible bits.

After discussion with Francis we decided to workaround the bug for now by simply removing the portlet from that page.

Derek Broughton has reported (via Matthew East's forwarded email to the launchpad user's list) that he is seeing links to non-existent bounties (oopses) at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bounties.
