Bug Description

Bug: The kio_videodvd io-slave doesn't seem to work, trying to use it to access a DVD via Konqueror results in an error message that states that there has been an error while loading kio_videodvd.

System: I'm using a fresh install of Kubuntu 7.04 with the following additional repositories: medibuntu and winehq.

Cheers !

Im having this problem also but I thought it was me due to a install file that removed most of my kde and other stuff. I reinstalled all that I seen being removed but Im sure I still have something missing. Anyway my system is working fine now just keep getting this error while trying to access the dvd drive thru konqueror. I can play dvd movies tho....

Same here. Reason: kio_videodvd is simple missing in Kubuntu 7.04, it should be in /usr/lib/kde3, but it isnt.

So does anyone no how to fix it or do we have to wait on Kubuntu to put out a fix?

Not sure why I didn't mark this "confirmed" the last time I touched it, but we've certainly got enough people saying it's a problem on Feisty. Probably a kdebase-kio-plugins problem, so I'm assigning it to kdebase. Problem does not exist for me on Gutsy.

Feisty has reached the end of its supported life and will not be receiving any more bugfix or security updates.
Marking fixed since it has been reported fixed in a newer version of Kubuntu.
