Bug Description
When installing Ubuntu, the first user must be added to the "disk" group by
default so he could easily read mounted partition and floppy disk.
Maybe adding all users by default to "disk" is to consider ?

This would be a very bad idea. The "disk" group gets you unfettered read/write
access to raw disk devices. It's overkill for the initial user, and would be a
horrible security hole if we added all users to it!
Use pmount instead. If it doesn't do what you want, file a bug against it.
