Natty: 2.6.38-8. shutdown causes kernel to panic

Ubuntu 11.04 Development Branch
Kernel 2.6.38.8.22

Kernel panics on shutdown. Reproducible: always
Poweroff does not occur. Error looks like:
Dentry <insert some hex number here> still in use.

Logs are not available. Apport doesn't finish the report, and can't report because of bug #558416.
I'll try to encourage apport to attach some reports.

Problem is that the kernel panic occurs after this line in the log:
kernel: Kernel logging (proc) stopped.

However, I wrote some lines down and it appears that others are more successful in logging this. I'm marking this bug as a duplicate.
