Bug Description

This is a regression as suspend/resume worked perfectly in the prior kernel version, 2.6.38.2. When resuming the laptop, it seems as though nothing occurs. The screen powers on, but remains black, the wireless never turns on, the bluetooth adapter never turns on, and the system does not respond to keybord requests for console changes, etc. I have not tried the sysrq interface to see if I can get anything out of that, however. This occurs every time the laptop attempts to resume.

I just tested the latest natty kernel release 2.6.38-4 and the system successfully resumed from suspend.

googling "2.6.38.3 suspend resume" reveals this breakage across several platforms. it is not fixed for me as of 2.6.38.5, i'm proceeding to bisect .2 -> .3.
