I don't use fc13, but i rebuild kernel-2.6.35.4-18.fc14.x86_64 with the flexcop-fix-xlate_proc_name-warning.patch.
And it works, the error messages are gone away in fc14.
THX

A patch was already submitted upstream for this here: http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/9/3/403

Probably was forgotten, as it's from September 2010 and didn't show up upstream until now.

The patch from the lkml thread above never ended up on kernel. But the same issue should now be fixed on mainline with commit b934c20de1398d4a82d2ecfeb588a214a910f13f, [media] FLEXCOP-PCI: fix __xlate_proc_name-warning for flexcop-pci

The fix went through upstream and stable, all releases we want should be patched up by now (verified the fix is at least on lucid and oneiric).

Changed in linux (Ubuntu):
status: In Progress → Fix Released
Changed in linux-meta (Fedora):
importance: Unknown → High
status: Unknown → Fix Released
