Bug Description

After seeing Ubuntu splash screen, screen goes dark and no bong sound is heard.
Per apw suggestion, am attaching intel_reg_dumper output at time of failure.
This bug occurred after fix was confirmed working for https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/693093

According to cjwatson analysis, "plymouth seems to be completing successfully and gdm is starting, but X is getting stuck at some point."
