Bug Description

I noticed that Natty put out kernel package 2.6.38-1 and decided to test if this helps against the bug lp:701384
And then, after I enter my password in KDM dialog, and before the KDE session becomes usable, the system stops to respond on keyboard&touchpad and probably enters in a sort of CPU loop because its fan starts to blow more loudly.

I also noticed that I don't even have to pass through KDM - it hangs by itself very soon, with black screen and white arrow pointer on it. So I can't even snap dmesgs with 2.6.38-1, they are snapped with 2.6.37-12 here.

Well, I removed KDM and rebooted without it.
I use wicd instead of Network Manager because of lp:689529 so it brings up my wireless connection without requiring manual GUI actions. And this causes a nice kernel panic (retyping from the screen) :

assertion "!(sdu->cloned)" failed: file "wlc_mac80211.c", line 5129

there is also a long stack, starting from igmpv3_send_cr, going through wlc_sendpkt_mac80211, then to some AES encryptions, then to minstrel_get_rate - and ending with osl_assert/snprintf/panic
