Bug Description

HP Compaq 8510p.

In 9.10, my fan was always spinning, so I switched back to debian.

In 10.04, it wasn't an issue, and all was good.

In 10.10, the fan is spinning all the time, the notebook is warm, so it must need to, but I don't see anything chewing CPU or pounding the DISK.

<elopio> wagle, take a look at this: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Debugging/HighTemperatures

I did so, and find that I have a radeon video card, so this is probably the same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/563156
