Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Clean Maverick Installation.
Nothing related or clarifying in logfiles.

## Bottom panel
Add clock-applet to bottom panel.
Add three time zones.
Left click opens the applet somewhere up in the air of the desktop and in addition reaching over the top edge.
Close it with left click.
Left click again shows calendar alone.

## Vertical panel right hand side
Add clock-applet to vertical panel.
Add four time zones.
Left click opens the applet, but cuts it off on top.
Close it with left click.
Left click again, applet only shows two time zones.

Expected is, the applet draws directly from the panel, showing time zones, earth day-night and calendar on top.
The behaviour in Lucid was ok with same monitor 1680x1050.

If it isn't meant as feature I'd consider it as regression.

I marked this as a duplicate of "Clock applet not showing on the correct location when in bottom panel", there's also a separate bug report for vertical panels: Bug #658791

Changed in gnome-panel (Ubuntu):

Marcel thanks a lot for pointing me there and sorry to bother, but the web didn't give me any results and while uploading no other bugs where listed as it is often the case, if so I wouldn't have written a separate one.
