Bug Description

Binary package hint: simple-scan

Ubuntu 10.10

simple -scan 2.32.0-0ubuntu4

This application was working till recently, several pages in succession could be saved.
When a page is scanned it can be saved normally. If a second page is then scanned the 'save' button goes gray when clicked but nothing happens.
The 'save as' from the menu works.
When the application is closed and re-opened the same thing happens.

From running simple-scan in debug mode "-d" it shows that it does actually save, but it automatically overwrites the previously saved file.

Changed in simple-scan (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

Reopening, this is the desired behaviour. Previously save always prompted for the location to save to. Now it behaves like other applications where save overwrites the current document, and save as saves to a new document. The solution is probably to indicate in the title bar if it is unsaved and the file that it will be saved as.

Changed in simple-scan:
status: New → Triaged
importance: Undecided → Medium
