No sound output (Intel) since upgrade to 10.10

Bug Description

Hi,

since my upgrade to ubuntu 10.10 I have no audio output device anymore. Neither System->Preferences->Sound, nor alsamixergui detects a an output capable sound card (just input).

I could fix that by completely removing $HOME/.pulse , so it was some incompatibility with older versions of these files.
