Bug Description
Since 2.6.35* kernels from 10.10, suspend to ram may fail or take long time, but only after some successful attempts. When it fails, after lid close, I can hear the HD powering down but fan accelerates to maximum, meaning 100% CPU use. This does not happen with 2.6.32* kernels from LTS, so that's my workaround, but I am not happy.
I was afraid of the fan sounds, but I decided to wait as long as I can, and got it after resuming without any problem:
