Bug Description

I just ran update manager and it updated my kernel from 2.6.32-25 to 2.6.32-26 and now my wirless N connection at home drops randomly for minutes at a time. Rebooting, restarting networking, changing from dhcpclient to dhcpcd, and replacing network manager with wicd have made no difference. Machine comes up, sees network connects, then after a few minutes, drops connection. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes not. Either way, it doesn't stay up for long. I have looked at bug 548992 and while the behaviour is similar, for me, this ONLY happens if I boot the new -26 kernel.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit on a Toshiba T235D with an atheros AR9285 using the ath9k driver. My wireless router is a buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH running dd-wrt v24 SP2.

Using WPA1 or WPA2 both result in the same behaviour.

I will try this on 2.6.32.25 to double check that it doesn't have this issue, and that the problem is confined to 2.6.32.26

OK, nevermind, it seems my new wireless router started acting up recently, and I had to go to my old G router, and now everything works fine. N works fine elsewhere too.

Please close this bug.
