Bug Description

Kernel used in Ubuntu 10.10 does not recognize external USB storage devices, both installation CDs and installed system.
Previous versions (9.10 and 10.04) worked perfectly.

Last tested working kernel: 2.6.32-25
Just to clarify symptoms: external USB storage devices are not recognized, i.e. no entries for them appear in /dev.

As far as I can tell it isn't just USB storage devices, the USB ports don't work at all.

Adding pci=nocrs to boot command line solved the problem. What can I do next?

The reporter has tested using 2.6.37-rc2 and is working with upstream kernel team to resolve this issue.
