I added the ppa and installed the latest Alsa driver modules, but the problem still occurs.

Did you perform a complete power-cycle, too, waiting at least two minutes before powering back up?

Please attach output from running alsa-info.sh (or apport-collect 659407) with the daily linux-alsa-driver-modules build *and no snd-hda-intel quirk*. Please reboot first.

Also note that the bug tracker for upstream is largely dead.

How can I ensure there is no snd-hda-intel quirk? I haven't modified any configuration option, just installed the linux-alsa-driver-modules. Is it Ok? (after a reboot, of course).

You can check /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/model.
