Bug still exists in Oneiric Beta 2 with latest 3.0.0-12-generic kernel, on same machine.
Except for a couple details :
- Machine now never seems to hang during boot ("plymouth time") anymore.
- Machine now very often (most of the times) hangs during the opening of an Ubuntu Gnome/Unity session (after password has been accepted and before anything else gets displayed) IF Gnome session is started right after booting.
- Machine never hangs during startup of a KDE session.
- Machine doesn't hang while starting a Gnome session, if a KDE session had been started, then closed, previously.
That's weird.
