Bug Description

While trying to track down a problem in regards to system freezes, I attempted to install the following packages:

* kerneloops
* linux-crashdump

The kerneloops contains all of the necessary files, but linux-crashdump does not. Here is the following list of files within the linux-crashdump_2.6.32.24.25_i386.deb file:

gnea@protihex:~$ dpkg --contents /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-crashdump_2.6.32.24.25_i386.deb
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2010-07-06 05:45 ./
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2010-07-06 05:45 ./usr/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2010-07-06 05:45 ./usr/share/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2010-07-06 05:45 ./usr/share/doc/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2010-07-06 05:45 ./usr/share/doc/linux-crashdump/
-rw-r--r-- root/root 1598 2010-07-01 11:06 ./usr/share/doc/linux-crashdump/copyright
-rw-r--r-- root/root 2068 2010-07-02 15:05 ./usr/share/doc/linux-crashdump/changelog.gz

This hardly constitutes a valid program to be distributed with a so-called 'stable' distribution.

Ubuntu version 10.04 Lucid Lynx.

Closing this bug with Won't fix as this kernel / release is no longer supported.
Please feel free to open a new bug report if you're still experiencing this on a newer release (Bionic 18.04.3 / Disco 19.04)
Thanks!
