Bug Description

In kernel version 2.6.32-24 for UNR 10.04.1, the "Shut Down" function has stopped working on my MSI Wind. There is no error message given. I can hit any variation on a power down action and nothing works short of a hard reset or the "sudo halt" command.

Steps to reproducing problem:
1. Fully update system (as of August 21st)
2. Attempt to power off the machine. The shutdown sequence does not initiate.

Edit: The "sudo halt" command produces the expected result. Could this be a permission issue?

That doesn't complete. I see some messages about udev and other
threads being respawned, and then a message about being disconnected
from the system bus and that's about it...

I should add, the earlier kernel works perfectly well. Is there any
system logs that I can find that would make things clearer?
