The bug has been set to Invalid upstream (see alioth.debian.org), because the submitter could no more reproduce the problem.

Indeed, while I can *still* reproduce it on my Lucid box, I can't on my Oneiric VM, so the bug was solved somewhere between their respective bash-completion versions (1:1.1-3ubuntu2 vs 1:1.3-1ubuntu4).

My bad, by "submitter" I meant the person that submitted it to alioth, i.e., Philip Muskovac. It was him who could not reproduce the bug. The final effect should be the same though.
