kernel update today has completely FUCKED my install

constant crashing, constant rebooting

not reported from this machine, but from my KARMIC LAPTOP

I CAN'T REPORT THE BUG FROM AFFECTED MACHINE BECAUSE ITS COMPLETE FUCKED

Something went horribly wrong. A new install fixed this. Must have been a corrupted download. Q: Is there any way to have a check on this for the future?
