Bug Description

Steps to reproduce
1) Install the latest 2.6.35.7.8 kernel
2) Reboot
3) From Synaptic remove the previous 2.6.35.6.9 generic image

Expected result
The process should go on flawlessly, without errors etc.

Actual result
"Kernel Panic" error message pop-ups

No actual misfunctionalities encountered (besides the error message)

milensk1, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Given Maverick is EOL as of April 10, 2012, the bug report would be considered closed. If this is reproducible in a supported release, please file a new report.
