I don't know too much about this bug, but Apport suggested to send the report. I get this error about once-twice a day.

pretty much the same as above except that I am having this issue with 2.6.35-6 -7 -8 -9 kernels.

Just experienced this with kernel 2.6.35.11-generic-pae.

Had installed PAE kernel, rebooted, started Terminator and Google Chrome. Internet connection may have gone down as I tried to request page in Chrome, that is when I noticed crash indication.

Started bug report process but couldn't complete it due to connection being down so have added comment here instead.

I have now seen this with a non-PAE kernel.

Just restarted PC and started Google Chrome.

It looks like the bug here was in lirc and not the kernel, and based on analysis of the code I think the problem in lirc was fixed some time ago. Setting linux task to invalid.
