Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfce4-terminal

In current lucid, the extended text selection doesn't work.

To reproduce:

-cat some text to the terminal.
- select a part of it with the mouse
- use shift+leftclick to select some more text
- copy and paste

This only copies the part of the text, that was already marked after step 2 and omits the additionally marked part. It used to work under karmic though, so this is a regression.

Don't know if this is of importance but I can confirm this extremely annoying bug for 32bit-Architecture.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.

Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

I am able to reproduce this issue in Xfce4-terminal in both Xubuntu 10.04 and in Maverick Meerkat, the current developer version. Since it did work in Xubuntu 9.10, I am tagging this as regression-potential.

Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

Is it still an issue with 0.4.5-1ubuntu3 in the final version of maverick ?

I am unable to reproduce this issue using Xubuntu Maverick 10.10, final version, fresh installation as of 2010-10-22. At the same time, I can still reproduce this in Xubuntu 10.04.
