Bug Description

Binary package hint: cups

As you can see on the picture, cancelled job (with little slides printed in portrait mode on the picture, that I cancelled from a list of two jobs printing on the same printer) collide at printing with the new one (with bigger slides in landscape mode on the picture) leading to margins problems (see the right side) and of course a bad printing result. Please fix :)

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04

***** Steps to reproduce : *****

1) Launch at least two printing jobs on the same printer
2) Wait for the new one to start printing
3) Cancel the printing job while the printer is printing a page
4) Look the two tasks collide on the same papersheet.

Oh, forgot to mention it : I tagged it regression-potential as it is defined in the policy : The bug didn't occured in previous stable release (tested on Karmic, cancelling a printing job stops the printing, eject the paper from the printer and starts with a new papersheet as expected), and it is not a regression yet because Lucid is not released yet. Thanks !

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. Ubuntu 10.04 is no longer supported, it would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS or higher. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect -p cups 549774
