Bug Description

Binary package hint: gwibber

I attempted to perform a search.
I saw there was another bug report, but I wanted to add that I had two active streams at the time. That may make a difference?

I'm not sure if its the same as the other.

This crash has the same stack trace characteristics as bug #528365. However, the latter was already fixed in an earlier package version than the one in this report. This might be a regression or because the problem is in a dependent package.

I tried to reproduce this issue with gwibber 2.32.0.1 and now works fine for me (using Ubuntu Maverick). Doooh_Head do you have any news about this?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I am now also using v2.32.0.1. I was previously able to perform searches and even had the result of a query being shown in one of my "streams" but when I chose "Search" today and typed in "#halifax" I never got any kind of response back. A new stream got created when I did the search but nothing showed up within it. The busy symbol was active. My refresh rate is 3 minutes.

Is there anything else I can provide?

@Kamus I'll be honest, I haven't used Gwibber for awhile now (been using my phone). I downloaded the latest build as per your link. I'm running it this morning and it seems different, better. Was able to perform a search and see the results right away. A new stream got created (its a bit difficult to notice the new stream as the only indication of it is a horizontal scroll bar), everything looks great. New messages seem to be streaming in at my defined rate for Twitter, Facebook and all my Twitter search streams. Will start using it again and give you more feedback in a day or two but so far it seems great (again!).

I have the same problem as Nicolas. I had two active streams when I attempted to perform a search and now Gwibber won't launch due to bug 731630.
