Bug Description

Since I upgraded to Karmic, stereo playback with jack has been broken. My system sink has two inputs (playback_1 and playback_2) as expected, but they don't map to physical output channels the way they are supposed to.

Expected behavior:
playback_1 and playback_2 each map to one of the stereo channels (left, right)

Actual behavior:
playback_1 maps to both stereo channels, and playback_2 doesn't do anything

This seems to happen with every audio device I try, too.
