Bug Description

I upgraded to Karmic Koala ubuntu 9.10 from ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty, since then my atmel wireless card does not work. The card is seen by the OS but cant connect to my AP (Access Point), getting access point timeout. I do lsmod these modules loaded.
mac80211
cfg80211
at76c50x_usb
I then decided to using the livecd from ubuntu 9.04 to compare the lsmod, noticed only at76_usb loaded on ubuntu 9.04.
I went back to ubuntu 9.10 and blacklist three modules mentioned above. Reboot the computer, the wireless card is working, but I am getting a crash stating "Your system encountered a serious kernel problem." "Your system might become unstable now and might need to be restarted". I restarted the computer and again the message appear.
When I was using ubuntu 9.04 or any of the earlier versions of ubuntu never have a problem.

ls -ltr

I also get these crashes, by just blacklisting at76c50x_usb.
Despite the crashes the network works fine here too.
