cannot start my toshiba 1130 Z31 without acpi=off or acpi=ht

Bug Description

I cannot start my Toshiba Satellite 1130 Z31 without acpi=off or acpi=ht since Ubuntu 8.10. In Ubuntu 8.04 everythink was working fine.

i think the last dmesq.log was with acpi=off, here is one with acpi=ht

Hi,

i just installed 10.04 alternate alpha2 and it seems to work fine! My notebook just boots without any change in grub.cfg
