Bug Description

Binary package hint: tangerine-icon-theme

After an update about a week ago, my gnome-panel started insisting on showing as about 30px high even though it was set to 23px or so. Firefox and Nautilus also had their menu bars with the icons bigger than they should have been.

The problem seems to be because of missing 24x24 Tangerine's directory in Karmic (/usr/share/icons/tangerine/24x24). Copying the directory from Ubuntu 9.04 solved the problem for me. See also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tangerine-icon-theme/+bug/435988 , I believe this is the same bug.

Confirming. Missing 24x24 folders is the cause of the oversizing. Copying the folder from Jaunty package as suggested by Vladimir is a valid workaround until this gets properly fixed.

Changed in tangerine-icon-theme (Ubuntu):

summary: - Icons too big in menu, panel
