Bug Description
Binary package hint: udev
As I've written in bug #406312 udev doesn't load the option driver for e.g. the Huawei E220 modem if it was not plugged in during boot time. This problem is probably related to bug #401655.

udev loads whatever driver the kernel says to load - since you've already filed a kernel bug, there's no need for this one
