Bug Description
Currently, Gwibber only shows the 20 most recent notices, which in my case equates to about 15 minutes.
If I'm away from the computer for longer than that, I miss notices, and Gwibber offers no way to read them.
A simple solution would be to make the message history (scrollback) much longer, and time-based. So messages from the last 12 hours (say) would always be shown. This time limit should be configurable, at least in gconf.
Another approach would be to show all unread messages at-least-until they user reads them (i.e. acknowledges them by focusing the Gwibber window).
To post a comment you must log in.
My experimental service-split branch (which will be the basis for Gwibber 2.0) caches the messages and keeps them around so that the message history goes back as far as the program has been running.
For now, if you want to increase it to more than 20 messages, you can use this hack: /answers. edge.launchpad. net/gwibber/ +question/ 56833
