Bug Description

I was in multi-boot os microsoft xp(2 scsi disk) ,ubuntu gutsy( 2 scsi disk) , kubuntu hardy ( 1 ide disk)
So i change kubuntu with an install intrepid ibex in live cd i 386
As i reboot after the grub menu as i choise ubuntu 8.10 i found on the busy-box and initramfs
after a message

Boot args (cat /proc/cmd line)
check root delay = (did the system wait long enough ? )
check root = (did the system wait for the right device ? )
Missing Modules ( cat /proc/modules ; ls /dev )
ALERT /dev/disk/by-uuid/04a8de5F-acfc-469Cb0e8-0653aab62d78 does not exist. Dropping to a Shell !

Busy box v1.10.2 (Ubuntu 1:1.10.2.1 ubunutu6) built in shell (ash)
Enter "help" for a list of built-in commands
Initramfs

so Iquit the shell with exit and the boot is going after on the disk which is not exist ( in reality it exist)

i can after a normal acces to intrepid ibex

I mean that grub will not stand to have the uuid of the boot disk and the disk make to long time ???

so when kubuntu 8.04 was on this disk , all was good (no busy box)

thans for the answer
